December 5, 2017 from Penn State News:
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Next month, WebAccess, the University’s authentication system that protects such systems as University email, Canvas and LionPATH, will launch a redesigned web presence. The change will remove the thumbprint image on the login and service links screen, replacing them with images of Penn Staters from across the University.
All service links and pages currently within WebAccess will remain available and the upgrade will occur during servicing hours later to avoid outages. For further information and updates, follow Penn State IT on Facebook and Twitter (@PennStateIT).
Note: this authentication system also protects Activity Insight (aka Digital Measures).
This form is for Penn State Faculty to grant proxy access to a Penn State Institution, Penn State Center, other interdisciplinary unit within Penn State, or staff proxy access. The requester must have a Penn State access account.
Please, download the form (located here: https://psu.box.com/v/proxyrequestform), fill out the form entirety, then email the completed form to L-AI-Support@lists.psu.edu. The Activity Insight Support team will contact all parties to confirm access has been granted.
What is ORCiD?
ORCiD provides a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes you from every other researcher. This means that it will be less likely that your name will be confused with another researcher with a similar name, ensuring that you get the credit you deserve for your work. Unlike your work email or identification number, your ORCiD ID follows you when you move. You can include your ORCiD identifier on your publications, grants and even your web page. You can also link your ORCiD ID to other services such as LinkedIn and Researcher ID. Soon you will be able to import your ORCiD publications into Activity Insight! If you have not signed up to receive your ORCiD, please visit the University Libraries’ page http://guides.libraries.psu.edu/orcid
Thank you to Robert Olendorf for providing us this information!

We are proud to announce that Activity Insight’s new user interface is now accessible for people using assistive technologies.
Digital Measures is committed to providing elegant and intuitive software for all our users, including people with disabilities.
To meet our goal of universal design, we engaged accessibility specialists to follow the internationally recognized best practices outlined in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA. We then revamped Activity Insight’s new user interface to make it compliant.
Our investment in accessibility functionality was far-reaching, including:
|•||Enhancing keyboard navigation|
|•||Ensuring that tooltip information is available to assistive technologies|
|•||Enabling assistive technologies to correctly read and access each area of the system.|
