The Faculty Activity Management Services team along with the Activity Insight Oversight Committee have designed the “Promotion and Tenure Form” to populate out of Activity Insight. The only users that can create this report have Administrative access. If you need access to create this report, please, contact the FAMS team by emailing AI-Support@psu.edu.
How do I build this form?
- Log into Activity Insight
- Click on Manage Data, once on this screen you will select the User from the drop down list and then click on Continue.
- This should open a new tab where it will say, “Managing data for: …”
- Next, in the General Information section the second item will be “Administrative Data – Permanent Data”.
- Click on Permanent Data.
- Half way down the page you will see For Promotion and Tenure Form Only.
- Fill out as much information as possible.
- When finished click on SAVE at the top right.
How do I print this report?
- You can use Rapid Reports and choose the Promotion and Tenure Form in the Report drop-down bar.
- This will allow you to run this report for the current person on the screen.
- If you need two forms because the candidate is going up for promotion AND tenure (you will need one promotion form AND one tenure form) you will need to click on Run Report twice.
- Or you can go back to your tab that says “Manage Data” then click on Reports, located on the top left of the screen.
- Scroll down until you see “Promotion and Tenure Form”, click on it.
- Once on the screen, Go to step “2 Whom to Include”
- Do not use the Groups to Include
- Only use Individuals to Include
- When selecting a person, only select one person at a time, if you select more than one you will only get one document with two people, you will not get a document for each person.
- If you need two forms because the candidate is going up for promotion AND tenure (you will need one promotion form AND one tenure form) you will need to click on Run Report twice.
Is the report missing information?
- Some information in this report comes from the Yearly Data screen (click on the current academic year to update), those fields are:
- Current Exact Rank and Title
- College
- Department
- Campus
- Graduate Faculty Status
